Happy new year to you all! I hope this newletter finds you well rested and in good spirits after the Christmas break...I certainly am! After a busy run up to the holidays and like most folks, I was in need of a rest and managed to curate a whopping 18 days off work! It was just what the doctor ordered and I'm feeling invigorated and excited to return to the salon! A big thank you for all my lovely Christmas gifts and tips too, never expected but always appreciated.
The main stay of my time off involved chocolate, cheese (not in that order) walking and finishing the 30 books in one year challenge I'd set myself. On that note I have just inhaled Fern Britton's new book (on audio whilst walking the dog, she has great intonation) 'The Older I Get....How I Repowered my life' which I highly recommend. Its like getting the best advice on the years to come from a good friend who's wrapped you up in a blanket with a cup of hot chocolate and you then feel compelled to move to Cornwall. Sign me up!
Onto hair and 2024 saw the biggest change to my business in 11 years with the introduction of the fancy new booking system. Its working it seems, but does mean I am busier than ever, as it doesn't discrimate whether I need a loo break (!) although I am trying to get better at managing this. Please do use the system as much as possible to cut down on contacting me as I am behind the chair for the lionshare of the day.
Not sure what to book? Did you know if you view my website on a PC/laptop you'll get a better description of all the services available as a phone version shreds most text away including the service descripters.
I wanted to remind you that I have increased my pricing and it wasn't an easy decision but I haven't changed some of my prices for over two years now and with rising costs from my suppliers, I've had no choice to pass on the increase working hard to keep these changes to a minimal. A bundle booking 'hilights and cut', looks like a higher increase but this takes into account two services. I have also introduced a new tier system for Curly Hair Cuts and colour as the time it takes can vary hugely and this is a fairer approach. The price increase will take effect from the 7th January and you'll see I am still extremely competetive given my level of experience and expertise!
There is a much needed Boucleme order arriving this week as it flys out quicker than I can get it on to the shelves. I hope to have the online store back up and running soon where you can click and collect items. Don't forget you can enjoy 10%* off all Wella and Boucleme retail products and 15%* off if you buy two products or more.
